On July 24, 2023, at 11:58 pm, I successfully completed the Tahoe 200 Mile Endurance Run - Tahoe 200. It was an incredibly challenging journey that pushed me to my limits both physically and mentally. The race covered a distance of approximately 220 miles and took me a total of 86 hours, 58 minutes, and 34 seconds to complete. It was an experience that will stay with me forever.
Throughout this journey, I was running to raise funds for an organization called Bigger Than The Trail. Their mission is to enrich the lives of individuals struggling with mental health, a cause that affects us all in different ways.
This cause has become even more personal to me as I reflect on the life of Nat, my daughter Annika's closest friend. Nat's life was tragically cut short in July of 2022 at the age of 17, and her loss has highlighted the importance of addressing mental health challenges and understanding the reality of suicide.
With your kind support, we can contribute towards Bigger Than the Trail's mission of providing individuals with the support and resources they need to overcome mental health struggles. Every contribution, no matter the amount, can make a significant impact.
To donate, please send your contribution directly to me. I collect all donations and write monthly lump sum checks to Bigger Than The Trail. This avoids fees when going directly through BTTT.
Send your donation via Venmo (@thedogguy1), PayPal (jason@enduren.com), or Zelle (916-335-2433). If you prefer to donate by check, please contact me at jason@thedogguy.com.
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for considering this donation. Your generosity and support mean the world to me and will contribute to making a difference in the lives of those who need it the most. Together, we can honor Nat's memory, raise awareness about the importance of mental health, and support those who may be struggling silently.
Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support.
With love and gratitude,
Jason Davis
Bigger Than The Trail is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization that is using trail running as a platform to advocate for mental health.
